Namitha has more than 10 years of experience working in the field of mental and emotional health in multicultural settings. She holds a masters in Abnormal & Clinical Psychology from Swansea University, UK.
Namitha’s clinical experience spans working with adults, adolescents and children. With adults, she works with self-esteem, mindfulness, personal development, depression, anxiety, stress, bereavement, trauma, interpersonal difficulties and parenting issues.
Her work with children and adolescents includes special needs therapy, difficulties in cognitive, behavioural and executive functioning, body image issues, self-esteem, self-harm and parent-child relationships. Namitha has a keen interest in working with people experiencing anxiety, issues with low mood, perfectionism, low self-esteem, trauma or childhood trauma, body image concerns, eating disorders and relationship difficulties.
Namitha founded THRIVE to empower individuals to look into themselves and to offer a helping hand in this liberating journey of life. Everyone deserves to understand how their mind works so that they can gain clarity of their present self. Most people desire to connect to meaning in their lives and she is dedicated to being part of this journey with them. To this end, she provides a warm, safe, non-judgmental space to heal and change.
